Murphydoris maracabranchia has been recently described, published 14 March 2022. It is characterized by its whitish body, the orange apices of the white rhinophores, and the faint orange at the lateral appendages.
This species is as Goniodoridella sp. 4 in IPN at page 127.
It was posted on 1 July 2011 at these websites as Goniodoridella sp. B  Genus: Pruvot-Fol, 1933, and changed on
10 August 2011 into Goniodoridella sp. 02  Genus: Pruvot-Fol, 1933
For some genera was the alphabet almost through. I had to change the distinguishing alphabetic character into a number. I had chosen 2-digit numbers, even though '01' looks a little bit stupid, and now is only the genus italic written.
I changed it again on 18 March 2022 into Murphydoris maracabranchia  Paz-Sedano, Smirnoff, Candás, Gosliner & Pola, 2022.
