cf. is an abbreviation from a Latin word (confer) and means 'refer to' or 'compare with', here it means it could possibly be Halgerda batangas or perhaps something closely related, or at least similar in appearance.
Halgerda batangas is characterized by orange-red tipped tubercles, with a network of solid red-orange lines on the dorsum between the tubercles, and a white region around the mantle edge containing orange-capped tubercles, which have a basal ring of white.
Halgerda cf. batangas lacks almost completely the network of red-orange lines, if you look carefully you see some thin orange lines...
The photographer Martin Burman writes (pers. comment): "I have never seen this pale colour form before."
