Gymnodoris aurita (Gould, 1852) [Doridopsis]

The genus Gymnodoris is an interesting genus of carnivorous nudibranchs which feed on other sea slugs.  Gymnodoris aurita  is characterized by the red colour, flat round tubercles capped with whitish-yellow and by large gills. Here is a close-up shot of 2 specimens mating.
