Pleurobranchus grandis Pease, 1868

Pleurobranchus grandis is characterized by its cream background colour with large elongate brown patches.
It is very variable in background colour, ranging from almost completely dark red/brown to pale cream. Distinctive
are a ring of small tubercles around each of the large ones.
This picture shows
a 4 mm juvenile specimen.
As the name suggests, Pleurobranchus grandis is a very large sea-slug, it grows up
to 25 cm and more.
