Asteronotus sp. 01 Genus: Ehrenberg, 1831

Asteronotus sp. 01 is a very cryptic dorid. The above specimen was identified by Dr. Richard C. Willan,
he writes (pers. comment):"I recommend you post this image as Asteronotus sp. When the image is magnified, the body looks semi-transparent, so that could be a good diagnostic character unless the animal is very juvenile of course. Asteronotus mimeticus has a thicker, opaque body with dorsal tubercles, so it cannot be that species. And Asteronotus spongicolus has a thicker opaque body with a mid-dorsal line of lighter pigment, so it cannot be that species either."
