Very similar are: pale variants of Gymnodoris citrina, which differs by the gills, forming a complete circle around the anus, near the middle of the body, and Gymnodoris sp. 07 which has the gills in the middle of the body, Gymnodoris sp. 08 which differs by the 5 simple gills, and by the translucent white rhinophores with orange tips.
