Here is the comment of David W. Behrens on these 2 specimens: "Not sure. Either a Cuthona or a Tergipes n.sp." , so I should use the family name and call it Tergipedidae sp. family: Bergh, 1889..., comment on 7 January 2017: this family was synonymised by Cella et al. (2016) with Fionidae J.E. Gray, 1857.
I wait until somebody reviews the family worldwide and keep it as Trinchesia sp. 31 Genus: von Ihering, 1879 until the dust settles.
This species was posted on 3 October 2012 at these websites as Trinchesia sp. 31 Genus: von Ihering, 1879.
Cella et al. (2016) restricted the genus Cuthona Alder & Hancock, 1855 to the type species, C. nana (Alder & Hancock, 1842) just like Miller (2004) did, and synonymised the genera
- Catriona Winckworth, 1941,
- Phestilla Bergh, 1874,
- Cuthona Alder & Hancock, 1855 (partim), and
- Trinchesia Ihering, 1879
with Tenellia A. Costa, 1866 in the Family Fionidae J.E. Gray, 1857.
I moved on 7 January 2017 Trinchesia sp. 31 Genus: von Ihering, 1879 to the Genus Tenellia A. Costa, 1866.
