This species is part of the 'Flabellina rubrolineata look-alike' complex:
Pretty similar are
Flabellina rubrolineata, which differs by papillate whitish rhinophores with purplish tips,
Flabellina delicata, which lacks the purple longitudinal lines.
Dr. Richard C. Willan writes on the above specimen:" This one is a real puzzle for me. It is definitely not Flabellina delicata. It seems closest to Flabellina rubrolineata, but I never saw a colour form of F. rubrolineata like this one. It might be an undescribed Flabellina species."
