Baeolidia moebii (Bergh, 1888) [Fenrisia]

Baeolidia moebii is characterized by a brown or brownish-green background colour with a pattern of light, sometimes whitish patches over cerata and body. The cerata are curved and flattened, often with blue and yellow markings. The digestive glands in the cerata are branched. There is usually a distinctive pattern of white bands around a brown circle at the base of the oral tentacles. This shot shows a specimen laying eggs.
Pretty similar is Baeolidia salaamica which has white patches on the body, and differs by long and cylindrical cerata, and has not branched digestive glands in the cerata, in Baeolidia moebii are they branched.
This specimen was identified by Dr. Juan Lucas Cervera Currado as Berghia major, thanks!
This specimen was identified by David W. Behrens as Berghia major, also thanks!
The identification of this 3 mm juvenile specimen was confirmed by Dr. Richard C. Willan also thanks!
Posted at these websites on 10 January 2004 as Berghia major  Eliot, 1903.
I moved it on 16 February 2005 into the genus Spurilla  Bergh, 1864,
I followed IPN and moved it on 15 February 2011 back into the genus Berghia  Trinchese, 1877.
I decided on 02 July 2013 to follow Carmona et al. (2013) and changed it into
Baeolidia moebii (Bergh, 1888) [Fenrisia].
